Taralay

by | Aug 9, 2025 | Mango Cultivars

The Taralay mango is a relatively new variety that originated from Gary Zill’s breeding program in Boynton Beach, Florida. It is believed to be a cross between the ‘Julie’ mango and a ‘Zill Indochinese’ mango. This Florida-born cultivar is highly regarded for its consistent and heavy production. An interesting fact about the Taralay mango is its early fruiting season, making it one of the first varieties to be ready for harvest. The fruit has a mild, sweet tropical flavor with a smooth, fiberless yellow flesh.
