The Sturrock mango is a cultivar that originated in Florida, developed through the hybridization program of David Sturrock in West Palm Beach. It is a hybrid of the ‘Haden’ and ‘Duncan’ mango varieties. An interesting fact about the Sturrock mango is that its namesake, David Sturrock, was a significant figure in mango breeding in Florida and also played a role in naming other notable varieties like the ‘Edward’ mango.
