Step

by | Aug 7, 2025 | Mango Cultivars

The ‘Step’ mango is a less commonly documented variety, and specific details about its origin are not widely available. Like all mangoes, it traces its lineage back to the Indo-Burma region, where mangoes have been cultivated for thousands of years. An interesting general fact about mangoes, which applies to the ‘Step’ variety as well, is that they are botanically related to cashews and pistachios, belonging to the same plant family, Anacardiaceae.
